moved. Well, I'm taking a programming class this year and learned alot
of tricks to make the pages better. And, the web address is alot shorter!

EXTRA EXTRA!!! Pigskin Results are in! The Nikki Rowe Band is proud to announce that they are the only McAllen Band to recieve ones for their Pigskin performance. The 2000-2001 Warrior Band is the first band in the history of Rowe High School to recieve straight ones for their performance. The Rowe band will be continuing its excellence as they compete at the Area contest in Alice on October 28. Good Luck!
The Rowe Concert Band will be competing at PSJA
Memorial High School for concert and sightreading music for UIL on Tuesday April 10.
They will be performing The New Frontier March by O'Reilly, Procession of the Sardar by Ivanov/Custer
and Variations on a English Folk Song by Smith. Later this month, the Rowe Wind Ensemble will be
performing The Slavonic Dances by Dvorak, Prelude, Siciliano, and Rondo by Arnold, and The Klaxon by Fillmore for contest on
April 25. We wish all the Rowe Bands the best of luck at contest.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Third Annual Honors Recital will be held Sunday May 6 in the Rowe Auditorium. Everyone
is welcomed to attend.
The annual Night of Jazz and Drums will be held on May 7th in the Rowe Auditorium.
Anyone interested in becoming a Drum Major next year please see Mr. Menchaca. Drum Major auditions
will be Wednesday May 9th.
The Rowe Band Banquet will be held in the Rowe Cafeteria on May 12 from 6-9.
The Spring concert will be May 14 in the Rowe Auditorium.
President's Corner
Hi and welcome to the new and improved Warrior Band Page.
My name is Keith Marshall and I am the 2000-2001 Rowe Band President and webpage supervisor.
Along with me there is Vice-President Kristeny Preston (Sr.), Secretary Vanessa Gamboa (Jr.),
Treasurer Connie Martinez (Sr.), and Historian Perla Cano (Sr.).
Finally, the directors for the Rowe Band are Mr. Joe Menchaca, Director of bands, Miss Donna Cook,
Symphonic Band director and brass teacher, Mr. Jim Egger, Concert band director and brass teacher,
Mr. Carlos Arredondo, percussion teacher.
Congratulations to all those who participated in the TMEA
All-State Competition. The Rowe Band placed a record four students in the All-State Bands. Selected for the
All-State Concert Band was Connie Martinez- Clarinet, Javi Adame- Trumpet, Fernando Domiguez- French Horn. Selected
for the Symphonic Band was Keith Marshall- Trombone.
Congratulations to everyone competing in the Solo and Ensemble Contest in Febuary. Everyone performed
very well and a few advanced to play at State Solo and Ensemble in May. Good luck to all.
